Ben and Renate have both been competing in long-distance sled dog races since 2018. Each winter, our main focus is the legendary Finnmarksløpet, where we compete in both the 600 km and 1,200 km classes. We also take part in challenging shorter-distance races, including Beaskadas 300 km and Troms Quest 180 km.
Our highlights include:
10th place in the 1,200 km Finnmarksløpet in 2024
5th place in the 600 km Finnmarksløpet in 2026
17th place in the world championship 600km Finnmarksløpet.
With fields of up to 60 teams, these results reflect years of dedication, training and close teamwork between musher and dogs.
Come behind the scenes of long-distance mushing. Meet the dogs that take on hundreds of kilometres of Arctic wilderness, learn how we train and prepare a team for a race, and discover what it takes to care for a team on the trail. Races can bring extremely tough Arctic conditions, with freezing temperatures, strong winds and powerful snowstorms. Yet the best sled dogs are built for this environment — working through the toughest conditions and crossing the finish line still happy, energetic and with their tails wagging.
Through hands-on experiences and time with our racing dogs, you can get a genuine insight into the world of competitive long-distance mushing.
